Re: NO LONGER FOR SALE: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8GB Gfx card

I've decided to stick with the 1080 now as the Ti is too costly and not much of a step up.

Thanks,

Dave

Re: MS8-25 issues - Horizontal jumping

Thanks for the replies. The pot is sealed if memory serves me correctly.

Unlike the Egret 2 chassis, it is a bit trickier to get this one out. I was hoping someone may be local and could do the whole thing.
I will message Grant if I cannot find anyone near.

Thanks fellas,

Dave

Re: MS8-25 issues - Horizontal jumping

Just a thought but is there anyone local to me (York) that could take a look?
Obviously I would pay you for your time.

Thanks again,

MS8-25 issues - Horizontal jumping

I've had issues with my Pony monitor for some time and I would really like to get it sorted. The horizontal size of the picture jumps intermittently. Often if the machine is jolted (perhaps with a heavy hand on the joystick) it will go from a normal size to about 30 percent bigger. Sometimes it will...

Re: Anyone stroking themselves over the PS4 launch announcement?

Oh nice!! Good to know, knowing it's not coming from the mouth of some paid hype train. So how is it and are you allowed to go into any other details? I can go into some detail here. The headset itself is really comfortable (even with glasses on). Lot's of adjustments to get it to fit is a nice tou...

We have a Playstation VR headset in the office and I am really impressed with it.
If the 4.5 means more horse power, I am all for it :)

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

Ok, thanks again cools. Already got the cards (9200 and 9250), gonna format both PCs and install XP. From what I understood about ATOM-15, it exists so that the card can output arcade resolutions during boot up sequences of Windows, and when Windows is up and running, everythings runs again from CR...

Re: input lag with Xbox 360 Cave games

I have all the 360 ports and I can verify that they all play lag free on both our LCD tv's.
I've hooked the 360 up to my Pony with a Ultracade Scalar and that is pretty lag free too.

Re: What's the best mutli game Jamma PCB?

OK, So I did some more testing tonight and established that the missing ground (which I resolved by fitting a temporary wire), isn't the issue. It seems that the cause is a synch problem, which means that my TV's (LED and my old trusty Sony CRT) don't like to display a picture. I left it one for a ...

Re: What's the best mutli game Jamma PCB?

I wish I could, but the flippin thing isn't working at the moment - it seems to have power (green led lit), but no picture. I know that it was missing a Ground line on the end most Jamma connection, but after rigging up a test wire it still doesn't work. Going to have a further look this evening, m...

Re: What's the best mutli game Jamma PCB?

For the games you want and the simplicity, the ArcadeSD is by far the most superior (apart from PC > Groovymame). The 60 in 1 is ok, but uses very old mame code for the emulation. Everything is playable on the 60 in 1 but the sound is mainly sample based and sucks. The ArcadeSD is a labour of love b...

Are there good reasons to update? I know Raiden DX was added some time ago.

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

I keep meaning to ask about updating Groovy. I have quite an old version now. (0.153_015b) running with Super Resolutions on Win7 x64. I am guessing I download the latest mame, groovy, hiscore shiz and then generate a new mame.ini from groovy. Do I have to do anything else apart from updating any ro...

Pony MKIII 25 monitor shielding issue

I have just rotated my Pony monitor and now I am getting discolouring in the bottom right corner like it needs degaussing. When I removed the speaker it went away. The speaker is shielded and removing it and moving it around the front of the tube makes no difference. My question then: Would missing ...
