I am trading my beautiful XEXEX arcade pcb (japanese ver.) in nice collector's condition with the original arts, operator's manual and long sticker. The hybrid sound module has been meticulously renewed with new and safe capacitors, so no need to worry about the common leaking caps issue on this typ...

Sound is here but something prevents it to output properly, so I made an agreement with VectorGlow who will take care of this repair work.

The crackling noise might be just a loose joint or the trimmer which is likely dirty inside. As for the repair work, I see a lot of traces in there which are scratched. You might want to check those coming from the sound chips to the power amp; one might be scratched enough not to make contact. If ...

technically, I would say the best was the Capcom CPS3
but the most reliable and balanced was the SNK MVS hardware, in my opinion
