Re: Astrocity, Volume Amplifier, extremely weak ?

The PSU you have has a volume control but it's just an inline potentiometer used to control the amplifed audio output from a JAMMA board. Your PSU, unlike some of the other Astro PSUs, doesn't have an inbuilt amplifier. The output from your PC is at line level and so you need to amplify it before ro...

But yeah, it's not a bad price for the panels and controls. Just hang onto them.

Re: [FS]Headers japan cabinets & Screencover SNK SC19

They're M4 x 0.7 threads. For the Aero you'll want two M4 bolts/machine screws approx 16mm long.

Something like [these]

Glad you got it sorted :awe:

FWIW I've used a LED and a battery/wires in place of a multimeter for checking continuity before.

Re: Applying CP Overlay

I was a bit worried about damaging the overlay too so I used some soft grip ones like [these].

I don't seem to have a photo of the applied overlay. I'll see if I can get though. It applied pretty much perfectly and I'm fairly anal about these things :hinthint:

Re: Applying CP Overlay

When I do mine I like to go in dry :whoopsie: I peg mine to the CP and make sure everything is perfectly aligned. I then remove the pegs from one side of the CP, lift the CPO up on one half, carefully cut the backing down the centre of the CPO and then gradually peel back the CPO from the centre out...

Re: JPAC fault? (Kick buttons)

One way to prove if your JPAC is working ok or not would be to connect a piece of wire into the GND terminals on the JPAC and then tap the JPAC kick inputs with the other end of the wire to simulate a button press.

Re: JPAC fault? (Kick buttons)

All's good thanks dude 8-) As you probably know, the ten pin AMP UP cable that goes from the CP to the base is just a 1:1 pass through. Take a look at the 10 pin AMP UP that's connected to your kick buttons inside your CP and see how it's wired up. The wiring on the base side of your loom/adapter ne...

Re: JPAC fault? (Kick buttons)

Check your wiring. The kick button loom can be wired in two different ways. The inputs you are getting sound like what you get when you mix up the two pinouts. Re: Changing button layouts via switch?

Nice :awe: Rotary switches are ideal for this type of thing when you're looking to switch lots of poles in various ways. I used one on my switchable JAMMA/JVS volt meter box thingymajigs. The VGA switch probably uses 15P4T rotary switch but you should be able to use a 6P4T (or greater) rotary switch...

Re: Changing button layouts via switch?

Should be fairly straight forward. This would probably do it. I would use a 4PDT switch for each player otherwise you will have a load of long wires going to a single 8PDT switch. https://photos.smugmug.com/Wiring/n-q62gc/i-nF4fHrj/0/O/i-nF4fHrj.png A 4PDT switch is just four dual throw switches in ...

Re: Changing button layouts via switch?

You could use a 4PDT switch for each player or a 8PDT to switch two sets of controls at once.

I can draw you a diagram later if it helps.
