Re: Super Nintardbros!

For the last few Mario games I've been happy enough with Trailer 1 then the year later trailer comes out and blows me away. Dunno how they still do it. :awe:

Re: Cab with 16:9 CRT?

Now you mention it I'm surprised there wasn't lots. Widescreen had a difficult time establishing itself - stuck in that rut of not enough customers/not enough content for over a decade. You'd have thought dedicated arcade cabinets were a perfect match during that time.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.

Imo just a photo is more useful than those rules. Not every collector is a "Collector" and they may not know that information. When I've bought PCBs I've usually just plugged them in and been happy they work. It's only when selling them I end up learning about all the stuff that degrailed ...

Re: Super Nintardbros!

I've never written a long post that I haven't regretted.

Just played the Arms demo. Realised at 1:20 that it was running, forced myself to have a couple of goes and ended up playing it until it ended at 2:00. It's undeniably fun, and it doesn't knacker your arms. I'm buying it.

Re: Super Nintardbros!

So anyway if I ignore the above features and buy it just for vanilla ST with online play and portability... yeah ok. Maybe for £25. I just wish all the added **** wasn't there to remind me it's a poor, unneeded revamp to a 20-year old game.

Re: Super Nintardbros!

It has the ultimate replayability value. --- The packaging goes a little way to justify the price, but to be honest I'm a bit embarrassed for the Switch and Capcom that this even exists. I wasn't a fan of HD-Remix's rebalanced mode. After thousands of hours I'm still learning ST and by now I accept ...

I know the Draw Something graphics are optional but I'd be more inclined to buy it if the option just wasn't there.

Re: Super Nintardbros!

That's great.

From AO's twitter feed: http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2017/05/24/ultr ... turbo-mess

This is weird. The writer's not so much reviewing the features of the Switch/HD-Remix version (which are ****), he's reviewing Street Fighter, and he doesn't like it.

Re: Super Nintardbros!

I wasn't going to rebuy MK8 at full price but it was £37 from Amazon with their £5 off £40 of video games offer. Just low enough for me to bite.

Re: Super Nintardbros!

Nah it's been fine. Dock is used a lot by kids and there are no scratches. Nath said he had a joycon disconnect a couple weeks ago.

Nath put one of the joycon strap things on the wrong way round (all the way until it overlapped). Just pressed the unlock button and slid it off.

I can't fault it.

Felt stupid buying it again but at least MK8's Battle mode is bloody great.
