Re: Unregular fan and PSU sounds

When those bearings go bad the fan will get louder until it eventually just wears out completely. You could possibly slow the issue down temporarily by removing that fan and then peeling the sticker off the fans hub. More than likely the bearing will be reveled under that sticker. You can drop a few...

Re: NaoPi assembling

You can get a Zero Key pretty cheap from a guy on Obscure Gamers for £5 I think he does the bios's too, thats where im getting mine. Honestly the most expensive part is going to be the Net dimm :P (make sure its the right firmware version unless you know someone that will solder a new firmware on or...

Re: Blast City - sound problems

Verify that your cables for the speakers are not nicked anywhere or have gotten pulled out somewhere either on the speaker terminals or where they lead into the volume control area.

It sounds like a damaged cable/lead or a short

Maybe something was knocked loose while doing the work earlier.

Re: NAOMI + NET DIMM/RASPI - working through it, please be patient, help appreciated

For those of you that are using the old white text on Blue background LCD (16x2) and wondering why the backlight flickers on for a second and then stays off, you need to edit piforcetools.py file in the piforcetools directory and comment / remove the following line: lcd.backlight(lcd.BLUE) OMG THAN...

Re: Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition :awe:

Guess it will have those awful short controller cables, like the Nes mini.. Still, I have ordered one, hope someone hacks it quick to add more games. :) I did read somewhere that the cables were longer this time around. Hopefully that is true. The first thing I did was get some extension cables on ...

ZMC2 Chip or broken AES cart

I really need to find a cheap alternative way to find a ZMC2 I hear you can get one off of an AES cart but broken ones are far and few to find and buying a donor board just for the chip is a bit over kill. Does anyone have a cheap AES cart or has a ZMC2 chip they can part out to me. I really want to...

Re: Neo Geo Missing Pixels

So I started messing with this board again, I fixed the z80 error I was getting due to a damaged trace during the socketing of the new z80 (so much heat damage from some previous owner) and repaired another trace somewhere else on the board I later found but that trace was not the culprit. I really ...

Re: Blast City - Sound volume at max

Thats quite strange maybe its a strange coincidence? Are you able to check any kind of voltage/signal going into the volume pot or measuring a resistance change on the volume pot when turning it, maybe it kicked the bucket?

Best of luck

MS9 Tri Sync Question

I feel like I have seen this done before like a chassis swap?
Is it possible to turn an MS9 New Astro City monitor into a TriSync monitor. If so are there any real draw backs to that?

Thanks :D
