Re: Naomi 1 - cant turn speakers on in sound test

Ah ok, yes. What you will need is some sort of Audio Amplifier to connect between your Naomi and your speakers in your cabinet. The I/O its self will only handle controls not sound. You can buy a sound amp of some sort and splice it in some how with the speaker wires or find an official Naomi Sound ...

Re: Naomi 1 - cant turn speakers on in sound test

I wasnt aware of a jumper ill have to double check real quick. If you have any kind of powered speakers you can plug the rca output from the naomi into that to test. But im not sure if you said the test tones played fine or not? I assume you have the Sega I/O with the built in sound amp then? Like t...

Re: Naomi - button 6 not working?

If its the same Sega JVS to Jamma I/O I have 838-13683-93 your button 6 7 8 etc come from CN3. The arcade otaku wiki has the exact pin outs though. Button 4 and 5 are off the Jamma edge. The second version you speak of is basically the same board but the silk screened labels might be different just ...

Re: Unregular fan and PSU sounds

When those bearings go bad the fan will get louder until it eventually just wears out completely. You could possibly slow the issue down temporarily by removing that fan and then peeling the sticker off the fans hub. More than likely the bearing will be reveled under that sticker. You can drop a few...

Re: Blast City - sound problems

Verify that your cables for the speakers are not nicked anywhere or have gotten pulled out somewhere either on the speaker terminals or where they lead into the volume control area.

It sounds like a damaged cable/lead or a short

Maybe something was knocked loose while doing the work earlier.

For those of you that are using the old white text on Blue background LCD (16x2) and wondering why the backlight flickers on for a second and then stays off, you need to edit piforcetools.py file in the piforcetools directory and comment / remove the following line: lcd.backlight(lcd.BLUE) OMG THAN...
